Christmas Markets not to be Missed!

1.Cologne
Germany is known for its Christmas markets. Visit any of the seven festive markets in Cologne, each one with their own atmosphere and flair. The diverse arts, crafts and wide range of food and drinks on offer are phenominal. You’ll find a particularly large selection of handcrafted and traditional goods in the ‘Home of the Gnomes’ market, located in the quaint and idyllic Old Town. This market is legendary based on rumours that it is elves used to live! Another one not to be missed is Europe’s largest floating Christmas Market! 1With over forty stalls and the romantically brilliant views of the Cologne Old town and the Cathedral, it is definitely worth a visit. The market will take place on the ship “MS Wappen von Köln”.
2.Vienna
The beauty and delicacy of this wonderful city is only heightened during Advent with concerts and nativity displays alongside the traditional Christmas markets. Marvel at the sights whilst enjoying the taste and smells of market delicacies such as roasted walnuts, dried fruits and winter warmers. Make sure you visit Rathauspark to enjoy the festively adorned trees, pony-riding, trips on the Christkindl Express and fairytale scenes portrayed in magical and whimsical displays.
3.Southbank
As if wondering along the Thames in the shadow of the London Eye and Buckingham Palace isn’t wonderful enough, head down there for magical festive fun and an abundance of unusual Christmas presents. Delightfully adorned cabins offer everything from specially crafted jewellery to hand made soap embedded with real rose petals and strawberries! There is also a carousel for those who are young or young at heart.
